If you have unlocked the car for someone and they do not have a key to lock it again, they can get a new key made at a locksmith. The way that this is done is by taking an old key and matching the code inside it to find out which lock the key originally came from. Then, they will be able to create a new key with that information, but there will be extra costs associated with making your keys.
